    A case for Fair Trading Complaint ; misleading and deceptive conduct! I took my car for a service and they changed a mechanical part of my car without letting me know. They slapped an inflated cost and when asked why they haven't rung me to let me know, the guy says I am the rude customer they had before. He continues to rant on the phone saying how rude I am to question something that they do to other customers. He carries on saying that I am rude to question his integrity?? I don't know of any mechanic who would work on the car without asking the owner first and then overcharge. The cost is in the hundreds where it should be just over $100. When it was time to pick up the car, the guy shows me a list of things they check in their service. He points to the line that lists part of my car that needed replacing ( according to him) and says " there- this is part of the service". Is there a logic? It states checking not replacing! When corrected he then offers discount and charge a fairer price. Quite odd in that they are so keen to show you whats wrong with your car so that you can verify their claims, and yet the work they have completed without your permission and overcharged, the item is sitting on his desk all cleaned up! No!, definitely not going back and you should be warned!. The guy gave me a quote as I was leaving for a new radiator- got it replaced at half the cost elsewhere with service with smile!
